What is an airflow sieve?

An airflow sieve is a machine that uses high-speed air to separate fine powders by size. It works best with light, fine, sticky materials, handling powders from 80 to 500 mesh. It’s fully enclosed, so no dust escapes—clean and eco-friendly.

How it works

First, dispersion. Powder enters the machine and meets a strong airflow from a fast-spinning rotor. The air blast breaks up any clumps, so every single particle floats freely in the air.

Next, transport and shooting. The suspended particles are carried toward a cylindrical screen. Since they’re light and moving fast, fine particles pass through the screen openings easily.

Finally, separation. Coarse particles that are too big to pass get thrown to the screen wall by centrifugal force and slide down to a discharge port. Fine and coarse powders are now completely separated.

Advantages

The biggest plus: no clogging. Vibrating screens use gravity and vibration to squeeze particles through the mesh, so fine powders tend to clog the screen easily. But in an airflow sieve, particles fly through quickly, barely touching the screen. It’s 5 to 10 times more efficient, more precise, and dust-free.
