Product Overview
The screw conveyor is a transport device that uses rotating screw blades to move materials continuously. It is primarily used for transporting powders, granules, and small pieces horizontally, diagonally, or vertically. Its structure typically consists of a drive motor, gearbox, screw shaft, screw blades, transport pipe, inlet, and outlet. Depending on its design, it can be divided into tube-type screw conveyors and U-shaped screw conveyors. Tube-type screw conveyors offer a completely enclosed design, ensuring dust-free operation, while U-shaped conveyors have a hinged top, making them easy to clean and remove any remaining material.
Working Principle
The core working principle of the screw conveyor is to use the thrust generated by rotating screw flights to move materials in the conveying direction. The material enters the conveyor through the feed inlet and falls onto the rotating spiral blades. The motor drives the screw shaft to rotate, pushing the material forward. As the material is continuously conveyed, it moves from the feeding end to the discharge end, achieving continuous conveying.
